LIMELIGHT IPL Pigment Rejuvenation

IPL Pigment Rejuvenation uses Intense Pulsed Light technology to target unwanted pigmentation and sun damage. By delivering pulses of broad-spectrum light into the skin, pigment particles absorb the energy and gradually break down, resulting in a clearer, brighter and more even complexion.

This treatment is ideal for reversing the visible effects of sun exposure and restoring a more youthful appearance.

What does IPL Pigment treat?

  • Sun damage
  • Freckles
  • Age spots
  • Solar lentigines
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Post-inflammatory pigmentation
  • Facial pigmentation
  • Pigmentation on the chest and hands
  • Dull skin

How does Limelight IPL for Pigment work?

IPL delivers specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by excess melanin within the skin. The pigment gradually darkens and sheds naturally over the following 1-3 weeks, revealing brighter and clearer skin.

At the same time, IPL stimulates collagen production, improving overall skin quality and luminosity.

Benefits:

Reduction in Pigmentation

Targets visible sun damage and uneven skin tone.

Brighter Complexion

Restores radiance and clarity to dull skin.

Collagen Stimulation

Improves overall skin texture and quality.

Minimal Downtime

Allows patients to return to most normal activities quickly.

Long-Term Prevention

When combined with diligent sun protection, IPL can help maintain clearer skin and reduce the progression of future sun damage.

Does it hurt?

Patients typically describe IPL as a mild snapping sensation, similar to an elastic band against the skin. Cooling measures are used to maximise comfort.

How many sessions do I need?

Most patients require a series of 2-4 treatments spaced approximately 4 weeks apart.

Your practitioner will recommend a personalised treatment plan based on the depth and severity of pigmentation.

When will I see results?

Pigmented lesions often darken immediately after treatment before naturally shedding over 7-21 days.

Progressive improvements continue with each session.

Is there downtime?

There is minimal downtime with IPL Pigment Rejuvenation.

You may experience:

  • Temporary redness
  • Mild warmth
  • Darkening of pigmented spots before they naturally exfoliate

Most patients resume normal activities immediately.

Is IPL Pigment safe for all skin types?

IPL Pigment is most suitable for lighter skin tones. Your Registered Nurse will assess your skin and determine whether IPL or another treatment option is most appropriate.
